Installing Buttercup in Mx Linux

·1 min

Buttercup is a free password manager. You can store the file for password inside your local PC or using third party storage like google drive. So you’ll be able to open it in your phone or other computer using the same file.

For my setup I’m using google drive as my third party storage. Below is the step that I’m using for Mx Linux:

  1. You need systemd to install App Image Launcher, so follow this guide
  2. Install AppImageLauncher
  3. Download your Buttercup Appimage and run it
  4. Now connect your Buttercup to your google drive

Enjoy your password manager.
